Horton Hayes Fine Art is located at the corner of State and Queen Streets in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The Gallery features original works by locally and Nationally recognized artists.
Subject matter in the gallery varies and includes landscapes, still-life, figurative works and architectural depictions rendered in oil, pastel or watercolor. While many of the pieces depict Lowcountry scenes and themes, one may also find a range of images including mountain and western scenes, European subjects and a variety of works inspired by the diverse experiences, surroundings and travels of our artists.
Cynthia Hayes, Gallery Director, and co-owners, Mark Kelvin Horton and his wife, Nancy Cagan Horton, have over 20 years of combined gallery experience. Cynthia, a graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Art History, is usually present in the gallery to answer any questions you may have and assist with your selections. She is personally acquainted with the artists and well versed in the range of their work. Whether you are a new or experienced collector or simply browsing through the gallery, Cynthia is a knowledgeable and valuable link between the artists and those who enjoy and collect their work.

We ask that all submissions be made by email to info@hortonhayes.com or by U.S. mail to 30 State Street, Charleston, SC 29464
Requirements include:
4-6 Images of available works created within the past two years
Artist’s Biography and Resume, including education, representation, collections, honors & awards, media coverage and website as applicable.
Artist Statement about the work
Price list of work, including medium and dimensions
Please understand that no submitted materials will be returned without a self-addressed and stamped envelope.
We will contact you if we have an interest in the work. No inquires please.
Please also note that while we encourage you to send us images of your work, we are not actively pursuing new artists at this time.
